They didnt put Omochao gun into good use.
I allways wanted him to be renamed to Homochao.

Well, the 'hints' are too obvious. Even anything Omochao says like in Sonic Adventure 2 (for example 'Be careful not to fall!') when there's a massive gaping hole of death in front of you is annoying.
Approaches a big hole of death Me: OK, just got to land of these platforms and I'm OK Runs into Omochao and facepalms Omochao: 'There's a hole here. Be careful not to fall!' Me: Cheers Omochao, like I didn't see this massive hole of death in front of me! Picks up Omochao and throws him into the hole of death Smiles in satisfaction and continues on
The voice used just makes it annoying. Especially in the Aquatic Mine level with Knuckles. The two Omochaos at the start, I just know I'm going to wind up hitting them.
But I suppose Omochao in Generations was OK. The voice wasn't so annoying and you didn't run into him often.

I don't have too much of a problem with Omochao, though I like to attack him in Sonic Adventure 2 for some lols. Did you know that someone hacked Generations and added tons of Omochaos to Green Hill zone? Though it's annoying, it's sort of funny too. :V

Did you know about the secret/unused (only in one version) message for when you carry him with you into a goal ring.
