Today, the gaming industry is all about one thing: Call Of Duty.
Thing is does it deserve the hype it gets, even though game play is clearly recycled from previous titles?

No, it doesn't.
A lot of people think COD should die, and I personally agree with them.
While I do like Zombies, I think the Activision needs to stop milking the franchise and either:

A. Make something new for the franchise to make it interesting.

OR

B. Axe the franchise.


But seeing as how Activision only care about making money and destroying the other big franchises (Sonic is suffering because of COD), I don't think this is going to happen.

What do you think?

I think it's just dumb, it's the vacuum of the video game community. It sucks and pulls everyone else from other franchises. It's time to end the fucker, it's been going on for far to long.

I've always wanted Treyarch to make a remake of WaW with the zombies IN THE CAMPAIGN. SO basically it'd be something like, You vs Germany vs Zombies. Like the first mission when your Dimitri, (The sniping level) I could see it like a zombie is chewing a part a guy in front of you, then the soldier comes in and shoots the zombie in the head instead of shooting the two guys that were dying. God I think that would be so cool.

TranZit in Black Ops II was absolutley fucking genius, seriously, I could not stop playing Green Run on release day.

But thing is why is there so much hype, when they claim something they already did 2 years ago as "new".

Activision, you've really created a wonderfull franchise that is the primary reason kids today are violent. Give yourselves a fucking pat on the back. Great fucking job.

No but seriously, the difference of quality between Halo 4 and BOII is huge.
Halo 4 has to be the best FPS of the decade. Yet, critics think BOII is because, for some reason, COD games are automaticly amazing, even without earning it. Sonic, Halo and Mario have to earn they're ratings, so why the bloody hell do critics think they can automaticly give a game a good rating if it's COD?

Stick Sonic 06 on a COD disk and they'll automaticly give it a 10/10.

Each Call of Duty game still sells over 10 million units per system.

I don't really play CoD, at all. But constant change in game-play in attempt to try something "new" is what got Sonic in all this mess.

CoD still has an identity, Sonic doesn't. And, in the developers eyes, sales is all that matter - that's the ultimate goal for them.

They gave ASRT an 8.6/10, which is brilliant by IGN standards.

Sonic isn't getting any identity of a sort back. Look at the sales, each game is selling less and less. People just don't care about Sonic anymore.

Sure, critic-wise, the recent games have good scores. But even then, Generations only has an average of 76% on meta-critic, which isn't all that impressive.

Maybe when we kill Call Of Duty, people will open their eyes and see theres other things to do than kill terrorists, kill terrorists, and kill other players.

Sonic Generations had a 8.7 by IGN

Colours/Colors had a high score too but lost slightly on Graphics in certain areas.

The reason why Sonic is struggling is because COD is in the way. Once COD is gone, people might notice Sonic again.

I am a fan of both :D
