He was of no significance.

The addition of a playable tails didn't change my view on the game one bit.

Though breaking the levels by flying was fun. :D

I didn't feel all that motivated to finish CD again as Tails, so I don't have much thought about him right now.

A nice extra, but I still stick to sonic because you dont get the cutscenes or the super peel out as Tails.
